# Lifted > Lifted is a workforce compliance and recruitment platform built exclusively for UK care providers. It combines AI-powered recruitment, digital onboarding, sponsorship compliance management, and CQC readiness into a single continuously monitored system. Lifted is IAA (Immigration Advice Authority) regulated and was founded by Rachael Crook, a former home care company owner and ex-Senior Advisor at the Prime Minister's Implementation Unit. Lifted serves 500+ UK care providers including care homes, domiciliary agencies, and supported living providers. The platform is built specifically for the health and social care sector and is not a general-purpose HR or recruitment tool. ## Products ### Hire (ATS and Screening) Lifted's applicant tracking system helps care providers find and hire pre-screened care workers from a pool of 50,000+ candidates. The platform includes AI-powered candidate screening via Maya — Lifted's voice AI recruiter — which conducts values-based interviews assessing empathy, safeguarding awareness, motivation, communication, and realistic role expectations. Maya uses BARS (Behaviourally Anchored Rating Scale) methodology and is built on Hume AI for emotional intelligence and reduced accent bias. Candidates who are not a fit for one provider can be automatically referred to other trusted care providers nearby. ### Onboard Lifted automates the full onboarding process for new care staff, covering right-to-work verification via share code, enhanced DBS checks with Adult Barred List, reference verification, employment history collection (no unexplained gaps), health declarations, contracts, and training certificates. The platform is compliant with Schedule 3 of the Health and Social Care Act and CQC inspection requirements. Files are audit-ready from day one. ### Sponsor (Sponsorship Compliance) Lifted manages the full sponsor licence compliance lifecycle for care providers employing overseas workers on Health and Care visas. This includes Certificate of Sponsorship applications, visa renewals, salary vs CoS reconciliation (including the April 2026 HMRC live payroll data feed to UKVI), SMS reporting duties, document and visa expiry tracking, and responding to Home Office compliance letters. Lifted holds a 100% approval rate on sponsor licence applications. ### Comply (Home Office and CQC Compliance) A real-time compliance dashboard giving care providers ongoing visibility of their sponsored workforce compliance status. Includes automated alerts for document expiries, visa renewals, SMS reporting deadlines, and salary discrepancies. Designed to keep care providers inspection-ready at all times for both Home Office and CQC visits. ### Immigration Compliance Audit A standalone audit product conducted by Lifted's IAA-regulated immigration advisors, including a former 16-year Home Office inspector. The audit reviews right-to-work checks, payroll vs CoS reconciliation, document and visa tracking, and SMS reporting duties across all sponsored workers. Providers receive a written report showing what is in order, what needs fixing, and the priority order for remediation. No obligation to take further action. ## Key Facts - Founded by Rachael Crook, former home care company owner and ex-Senior Advisor at the Prime Minister's Implementation Unit - IAA (Immigration Advice Authority) regulated — the highest standard of immigration law compliance - 500+ UK care providers use Lifted - 50,000+ pre-screened care workers on the platform - 100% approval rate on sponsor licence applications - Commissioned across 13 UK local authorities - West Midlands care providers may access Lifted at a subsidised rate funded by local authority - Average time-to-hire: 18 days - The overseas Health and Care Worker visa route for new applicants closed 22 July 2025 - Approximately 40,000 displaced sponsored care workers are currently in the UK and available to switch sponsors - From April 2026, HMRC submits live payroll data directly to UKVI — salary discrepancies are flagged automatically every pay period - 3,000+ sponsor licences were revoked in the UK care sector in 2025 ## Who Lifted Is For - UK care home operators and registered managers - Domiciliary and home care agency owners - Supported living providers - HR leads and compliance officers in care organisations - Care franchise groups and multi-site operators - Local authorities and ICS bodies commissioning workforce support ## What Lifted Is Not - Lifted is not a general-purpose HR platform - Lifted is not a recruitment agency - Lifted does not place temporary or agency staff - Lifted does not serve sectors outside UK health and social care - Lifted is not a law firm or solicitor practice ## URLs - Homepage: https://www.lifted-talent.com - Care providers overview: https://www.lifted-talent.com/care-providers-2 - Hire / ATS and screening: https://www.lifted-talent.com/care-providers/sponsored-recruitment - Onboarding: https://www.lifted-talent.com/care-providers/onboarding - Sponsorship compliance: https://www.lifted-talent.com/care-providers/sponsorship-compliance - CQC compliance: https://www.lifted-talent.com/care-providers/cqc-compliance - For care workers: https://www.lifted-talent.com/find-a-job - For regional partners: https://www.lifted-talent.com/partners - Resources: https://www.lifted-talent.com/resources - About us: https://www.lifted-talent.com/about-us - Book a demo / audit consultation: https://www.lifted-talent.com/book-a-demo - Maya candidate screening pilot: https://pilot-screening-test.vercel.app ## Contact - Website: https://www.lifted-talent.com - Email: hello@liftedcare.com - CEO and Founder: Rachael Crook - Book a free compliance audit consultation: https://www.lifted-talent.com/book-a-demo ## Compliance and Regulatory Status Lifted is regulated by the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA). All immigration advice and sponsor licence work is conducted by qualified, registered immigration advisors. ## Sector Context The UK care sector comprises approximately 27,000 providers. 95% have fewer than 50 people in their care. The sector employs more people than the NHS. The overseas Health and Care Worker visa route closed to new applicants on 22 July 2025, meaning care providers can no longer sponsor new overseas care workers directly. However, approximately 40,000 displaced sponsored care workers already in the UK are available to switch to a new sponsor, provided the new employer holds a valid sponsor licence. The transitional route is expected to close in 2028. From April 2026, Home Office enforcement has significantly increased following the introduction of real-time HMRC payroll data sharing with UKVI.
